Today marks a new chapter in my life: the day I start my new blog, that I have been planning for, ooh, a good few hours, has finally arrived.
How To Be a Teenager.
A blog devoted to anything artsy, feministy, teenagery. The thought behind it is that it's really bloody hard being 17/18/19 and knowing what you should read, what you should listen to, what you should watch, how you should feel about feministy stuff. Because you're not a teenager anymore. Not really. You're going into adulthood an that's hard. So, this blog is hopefully gonna help you out. Book reviews, feminist opinions, university advice, sixth form/A level advice, social advice, some film reviews, maybe some television drama and music shoutouts... Really just anything I might have an opinion on that relates to the arts and being a teenager (possibly with the occasional opinion on current affairs/news thrown in).
I don't know how often I'll get chance to write a post - it might be every week, it might be every couple of days, it could even be once a month. I just don't know. But we'll see how it goes!
I might develop some sort structure, I might not. If I actually get any views, I might even be able to take commissions/recommendations for topics/news books/films/music/plays etc, but given that that's somewhat unlikely I might just have to plod along with whatever I find. But if you do need help with anything or advice on a topic do drop me a line.
Anyway, for those few readers out there who might happen to fall into my blog I do hope you have five minutes to settle down with a cup of tea and enjoy the ramblings of an 18 year old student trying to make her way, blog post by blog post, in the world of journalists.
Hope you all enjoy.
Lots of love,
Philly
